as we grow up

This project is a personal tribute to girlhood, friendship, and intimacy in the last era before the digital age. Shot between 2010 and 2011, this project marks my first systematic approach to photography and serves as a visual diary of my last year of school. Most of these images depict my teenage life and my girlfriends as we transition into womanhood. They capture tears, first and last experiences, fragilities, and dreams in a time where the internet, smartphones, and social media were not at our fingertips.
